Welcome Home @LiveActionIT
In my company culture blog, I discussed how important it is to create a work environment that the team enjoys working from everyday. Thus, when we had the opportunity to design our new Corporate Headquarters, we made it a priority to make our new offices absolutely kick-ass!
This past week, @LiveActionIT proudly opened our Corporate Offices at 3500 W. Bayshore Road Palo Alto, CA 94303.
Reaching this pivotal point required vision and faith from our team and a lot of patience from our customers. To recap, here’s a highlight of our journey.
In late 2015, we started with this:
After a lengthy design and permitting process, we finally began the renovation. First off, removing all the walls, ceiling, doors, floors and basically gutting the building to the framework.
We rebuilt our office based on an open concept, using a lot of glass, natural lighting and a “group-teaming” philosophy which in the end of the process created this:
We made the move from Santa Clara ourselves. Our team packed and trucked all of our office equipment and furniture from Freedom Circle (our previous HQ location) before construction even started.
When we were done loading up the truck, we drove it up to Palo Alto where we unpacked. From that point on (February-June), we continued to operate from inside an active construction zone.
Now, as I reflect on our journey, I’m reminded of who @LiveActionIT is.
For those of you who have never heard of LiveAction, don’t worry, you’re not alone. We are one of the fastest growing companies in the Silicon Valley—and most have never heard of us. Our technology, which is based on big data and advanced visualizations, is quickly widening the gap between our next-generation network management solution and what is quickly becoming legacy technology. In fact, many of the largest companies in the world, rely on LiveAction’s solutions to operate their IT environments—and their CIOs and CISOs probably don’t even know about it.
When it comes to our technology, we focus on building and supporting the best next-generation network management solution possible. We bring in some of the coolest new concepts in situational awareness and data visualization. We also partner with the best in the business. And, when it comes to our company, we focus on our people.
So, this new office is about our people and creating an environment where everyone wants to be every day.
What better way to celebrate our people and our new home than opening it to all of our friends—and bringing the entire LiveAction team together from around the globe.
We filled the week with various one-on-one meetings between people in our company that don’t normally have the opportunity to collaborate in person.
We conducted an all-hands meeting and numerous management meetings.
We orchestrated our quarterly business reviews.
We also took the opportunity to celebrate in style with different food stations—including sushi, sliders, desserts and several open bars.
The evening was filled with fun activities like NBA2K and Guitar Hero.
We also took a few pictures in the photo booth…
Then, played some basketball.
And played some beer pong…
Even found a few shady places to chill!
The evening was topped off with a ton of laughs and many smiles:
Thanks to all the LiveAction team members, our friends, Board of Directors, investors and advisors who continue to support us on our journey.
