As we announced our advanced support for SD-WAN and machine learning in LiveNX 7, we started to notice a familiar pattern: many organizations chose the LiveNX platform to establish a planning baseline for their SD-WAN deployment. In order for deployment plans to be effective, a clear view of both the current environment as well as the desired future state is needed. That is where LiveNX 7 excels, thanks to its multi-solution, multi-vendor support.

Continuing the momentum of LiveNX 7, we’ve made an update to deliver even greater visibility, analytics, and control over multi-vendor and hybrid WAN environments. LiveNX 7.1, available now, delivers enhancements to integrate, analyze, and report on the real-time traffic data gathered via the Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) vManage API for SD-WAN. LiveNX is unique in reconciling the flow data we get from the vEdge routers with the QoS and application ID data we get from the vManage API. This provides more accurate and reliable visibility of application performance which is displayed in the LiveNX performance dashboard, SD-WAN topology console, and the site-to-site Sankey diagrams. It also reconciles the performance of the virtual SD-WAN overlay with the dynamic changes of the underlying, enabling physical network.

Cisco Catalyst 9000 Family Discovery, Visibility and Reporting

While we were at it, we got some early work done to visualize and map virtual overlays and physical underlays of Cisco’s SD-Access solution architecture and the Catalyst 9000 it supports. And guess what? We showcased it at Cisco Live Barcelona to rave reviews, as the first Cisco solution partner to showcase advanced analytics support for SD-Access. Keep in mind that this capability is in preview mode, with general availability coming very soon.
