LiveAction at CiscoLive! 2022 – Key Takeaways

After a busy week at RSA Conference in San Francisco where we dove into the world of cybersecurity, LiveAction headed to Las Vegas, for CiscoLive! 2022. We kicked things off with a “Par-Tee” at Top Golf and hosted a fun night at the House of Blues. Cisco’s theme of “All In” provided compelling insights into how technology is driving the global economy and the importance of remaining future forward.

LiveAction team at CiscoLive!

LiveAction was “ALL IN” at CiscoLive!

LiveAction experts showcased how businesses can monitor the entire network whether it’s a remote branch site, Campus, SD-WAN, Data Center, or Cloud with enterprise-wide network visibility. Our demos also explored some key capabilities like real-time analytics, hop-by-hop analysis, and DVR playback to view the historical activity and so much more. If you missed it, you can always check out this webinar.

CiscoLive! Key Takeaways

LiveAction Founder and CTO, John Smith shares his key takeaways from CiscoLive:

  • Full stack observability

Cisco heavily messaged the full stack observability capabilities as customers monitor applications in the multi-cloud. A key layer in the full stack is the network layer and LiveAction’s LiveNX can provide detailed data and analytics to understand and troubleshoot quicker and faster. I enjoyed Joe Maissel’s (from NTT) presentation on Observability at CiscoLive which highlighted how LiveNX fits into that stack.

  • Security and networking

Jeetu Patel, EP and GM of Security, mentioned at the main keynote the continued convergence of networking and security. Convergence is happening both architecturally as well as operationally. SASE is an example that combines networking architecture with security to provide secure access as well as intelligent WAN management. We also see that trend from our customers and make sure that telemetry sources used for SecOps and NetOps are leveraged intelligently and provide workflows for both SecOps and NetOps to be more effective.

  • SD-WAN

There was a lot of interest in SD-WAN from customers attending the show.  All the sessions on SD-WAN were full as customers are all looking to switch.  We spoke to customers that mentioned the need to have visibility across their networks including SD-WAN which LiveAction’s solution LiveNX can help with.

John also gave a Speaker Session on “How to Combine Security and Network Monitoring” and leveraging common infrastructure for NetOps and SecOps. Watch it below!

The CiscoLive experience is the people

David Izumo, LiveAction’s Principal Engineer – Technical Marketing reflects on his time at CiscoLive:

It was great to finally be back at an in-person CiscoLive after almost 3 years of virtual conferences. Events like this provide impactful opportunities to connect with our customers, partners and our many friends at Cisco. It allows us to evangelize our many enhancements within the LiveAction product portfolio and learn from industry leaders from around the globe.

My favorite part about the CiscoLive experience is the people.  It’s great meeting new folks and reconnecting with the many friends that I’ve made over the years. I’m amazed at what I learn from the interactions at the booth, the small group meetings with technology leaders and our key customers and partners.  The theme for this year’s CiscoLive is “All In” and we at LiveAction are “All In” to take network and security visibility to the next level. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

Continue Eliminating Blind Spots

If we learned anything at CiscoLive, it’s that network teams are spending more time on security, and that a lot of the new networking concepts have security built in. Network visibility is taking center stage with both performance and security. With LiveAction solutions, we give enterprises confidence that the network is securely meeting business objectives, provide full network visibility to better inform NetOps and SecOps as they drive critical decisions for performance and threat response, and reduce the overall cost of network and security operations.
