In working with Cisco’s EasyQoS 1.5.0.x technology in hands-on sessions at Cisco Live, it’s clear that while EasyQoS features major new enhancements like traffic class modification, excluding interfaces from QoS policies, and configuring DSCP for traffic classes, network engineers still need the assurance that their QoS policies are working and that they’re right.

Customers Validate the Powerful Impact of LiveNX for EasyQoS

Throughout the event, attendees proactively came to us to say that LiveNX is the best solution to the problem of QoS because of the way it performs in the network. Three, in particular, stand out for their candor.

Tom Kunath of Cisco said that LiveNX helped “identify asymmetrical routing problems because of a QoS issue.” This problem truly “was a needle in a haystack issue that would have otherwise gone unnoticed” if not for LiveNX’s deep QoS management capabilities.

One of the largest medical device providers in the world told us that LiveNX immediately identified traffic that was mistakenly marked one-way and spotted errors in the QoS policies that were deployed manually using CLI.

Third, a global manufacturer who was running both LiveNX and another network monitoring tool in parallel shared his experience. Despite the other monitoring tool indicating there were no issues in the network, LiveNX identified that a particular router was fully loaded and redlining. The router ended up failing and the manufacturer was forced to spend hours rebuilding it. That was a painful situation that convinced him to use LiveNX as the default QoS management product.
