Darren T. Kimura, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Darren T. Kimura is the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of LiveAction, Inc. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board at Energy Industries Corporation and as a Director at PBS Hawaii, Enerdigm Ventures, and the Blue Planet Foundation. He is a Member of the University of Hawaii College of Engineering Dean’s Council. He previously served as a Director at the Hawaii State Venture Capital Fund, Hawaii’s Governor Innovation Council, the Boy Scouts of America Aloha Council and the Hawaii Academy of Science.
Michael Triplett, Director
Michael Triplett is a managing partner of Insight Venture Partners. Mike focuses on investments in Infrastructure and Application Software companies and has been instrumental in investments in more than twenty companies, many of which have achieved fast growth and realized significant value for shareholders and employees. Notable among these are the IPOs of Click Commerce, Solarwinds Inc. Tom Schodorf, Director
Tom Schodorf is an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Schodorf is the former senior vice president of worldwide field operations for Splunk Inc. At Splunk, he built and executed a successful go-to-market strategy for the company, with its revenue increasing by a factor of ten during his tenure. Prior to Splunk, he held executive positions at BMC Software and IBM. At BMC Software, he spent 17 years in a number of executive positions, including head of Asia-Pacific field sales, as well as vice president and global general manager of the Identify Business Unit. Previously, Schodorf was a sales executive with IBM for more than seven years.
Brian Nugent, Director
Brian Nugent is a founding principal and General Partner in Accelerate-IT Ventures, Brian Nugent is focused on building high-growth technology companies by providing capital and strategic acceleration solutions from a multi-national platform. Through his roles as an investor, entrepreneur, operator and strategic advisor in over 100 technology ventures, Brian has built domain expertise and deep connections across the IT industry on five continents. With experience in both venture capital and private equity (control), Brian has been backing capable leaders in the technology industry and demonstrating meaningful trajectory impact in the businesses he supports. In addition to Accelerate-IT Ventures, he has been a partner at Torch Hill Investment Partners, a mid-market private equity firm that focuses on technology investments. As an entrepreneur and operating executive he ran both public and privately-held enterprise software companies (EdgeWave; Applied Identity). Previously Brian was a senior executive at Teros (acquired by Citrix), Atrica (acquired by Nokia-Siemens) and LuxN (acquired by Sorrento Networks). He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of ThreatSTOP, Liquid Grids, CyberHive, MWM Group, and Accelerate-IT. Brian is a member of The Private Equity & Venture Capital Group, The Private Equity Investment Group, the San Diego Venture Group, and is a frequent lecturer at events such as The Security Investor Conference, The AGC Conference, and The CEO Total Access Series. He is a Board Member of the PEERS Network – which supports many non-profit organizations nationally, and is a member of the 2013 and 2014 National Champion Sunset Water Polo Club.
Phillip Vorobeychik, Director
Philip Vorobeychik joined Insight Venture Partners in 2010. Prior to joining Insight, he founded several internet ventures including a small business focused internet services agency, and a series of specialty eCommerce stores. He also spent time at TwinRed Asset Management, a hedge fund and venture capital firm based in New York. Philip has worked with Insight’s investments in Kaseya, BeyondTrust, GFI, Firemon, Mirantis, Unitrends, Veeam, and a number of other infrastructure and software/SaaS portfolio companies.
